What is your rate?
I charge $60/hour. Billing is done with time tracking software which counts down to the minute. You may at any time, ask for an up to date summery of the hours tracked thus far.

What is your billing schedule?
I prefer to bill bi-weekly, as this is my full time job and I like to get paid on friday’s as much as the next guy. All invoices are Net 30 (Payment is due 30 days from issue). Any invoice that goes over 30 days without being paid, including partial payments, will be subject to an interest charge per additional day late.

Do you take a deposit?
Why yes, I do in fact. Typically the deposit will be for approximately 50% of a best guess estimate. Once billable time has spent the deposit, billing will switch to bi-weekly. I will also let you know when the deposit has been exhausted for your own records and accounting.

When do I get my stuff?
Final print ready artwork is given once final payment is cleared. Websites are “turned on” live once final payment is cleared. Any other instance must be agreed upon during our contract period.

Ah contracts, do I have to sign one?
Yes, you do. It’s really for the best for both our interests, after all you don’t want me deciding to give up graphic design and disappear to Mexico half way through our project. The contract can be viewed at any time. Its pretty standard stuff really.

How does your process work?
As previously mentioned, I bill hourly. This allows you to have unlimited control over changes during the process. It is really impossible to guess how much a project will cost, so it is ludicrous to stick to any such arbitrary number.

When can we get started?
So initially you might contact me about a job, we can discuss it a bit to see if we will be a good match for each other. Upon agreeing that we are in fact, a match made in design heaven, I will send over a contract to sign. You then will sign and return the contract with a deposit to begin work. Work can’t being until this is complete. Please keep in mind I might be currently involved in other projects, so its best to plan accordingly and make sure my current work load will allow me to finish your project in a time frame you find suitable.

But wait, we are friends!
If we are in fact friends, I apologize if this seems like cold corporate b.s. The truth is, this is my job, and I need to make sure I can live while doing it. I have also found that our project will go much smoother if we follow this structure. Believe it or not, nobody really values work that is discounted or free, so for the benefit of our friendship, lets keep business as usual.
